On 24th of March, 2005 at the Congress of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan by the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Nursultan Nazarbayev has been established “Atameken” National Union of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan. On 5th of June 2007 by the delegates of the Congress of the “Atameken” National Union of Entrepreneurs and employers of Kazakhstan it has been decided to transform the Union to National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan with saving the name “Atameken” Union. “Atameken” Union” National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan is the leading union of Kazakhstan’s business community in the form of noncommercial organization which unites more that 90% of business associations of Kazakhstan. Being the member of expert councils of all central ministries and authorities, the Chamber in constant mode organizes the interaction of it’s members on estimation and expertise of the drafts of regulatory legal acts, helps to elaboration of a unified position of entrepreneurs. The substantial continuation of this work is the legal support and protection of legal rights and interests of entrepreneurs including court hearings. The lawyers of the Chamber provide assistance to entrepreneurs in their controversies with the state bodies. Starting from 2007 “Atameken” Union” is the member of the international organizations like World Chambers Federation (WCF) (commercial, industrial, economic, marine, stock-exchanges, lands, customs etc), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Union of Black sea and Caspian region Confederation of Enterprises (UBCCE) etc.
